Industry Education Partnership Cell (IEPC)
Training Program initiated by the Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) jointly with Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) has been receiving excellent response from industries as well as from faculty members of Engineering and Polytechnic colleges.

As a continuation of the program, MEDC has organized training programme at ‘German Remedies Ltd.’ Plant at Kundaim Indl. Area, Kundaim Goa from 2nd May to 7th May 2005.

Mr. P. Chaudhari, Work Manager, Mr. Ashutosh Rawal, Sr. Manager-Engineering & Mrs. Varsha Hawaldar, Sr. Manager-Production, German Remedies, were the main persons involved in organizing this programme.

On behalf of MEDC, Mr. Anil Deshpande, Chief Executive Officer, attended the programe.

Eleven faculty members from polytechnic Colleges from all over Maharashtra attended the program. They were extremely happy about this activity. They appreciated the efforts being taken by MEDC in bringing the industry-institutions closer.

On the inaugural day, Mr. P. Chaudhari, Work Manager, German Remedies, welcomed all the participants and requested all Faculty Members to introduce themselves. He also requested them to tell about their area of interest in the training program.

While addressing the program, Mr. Anil Deshpande, Chief Executive Officer, MEDC briefed the participants about the objectives of the program. He said that in the present era of globalization, when Indian economy is marching forward to integrate with the global economy, there is urgent need to have active interaction between industry and institutions, which would result in meeting the needs of each other and would also bridge the gap between the industry and institutions.

In order to have better industry-institutions interaction, Mr. M.N. Chaini, President, MEDC mooted the idea of setting up of Industry Education Partnership Cell within MEDC, Mr. Deshpande said. He further stated that the IEPC will inculcate in the youth, the spirit of entrepreneurship and foster the value that “Work is Worship”. He appealed the faculty members to take maximum advantage of the program. On behalf of MEDC and MSBTE, he gratefully expressed thanks to the management of German Remedies, particularly to Mr. J.C. Jani, Mg. Director and to Mr. P. Chaudhari, Works Manager, German Remedies, Goa Plant.
